Ink and Wash - part 2

While painting this composition, I realized I can change the altitude perspective by appropriately portioning the sky and the subject i.e. to get the feel of looking at the subject from high altitude, we can paint about 2/3 of the sheet as the sky; to get a mid-level altitude perspective, the sky and subject can take half portions of the sheet each; to get an eye level perspective, the sky would occupy 1/3 of the sheet.

I used ink pen to outline a few areas of the scenery below. Selectively defining components of the subject using ink pen adds interest. Though the composition is simple in itself, various factors were considered to give the viewer a feel of looking down at the subject from a mid - level altitude,
a) portioning the sky and the subject
b) give a feeling of horizon

c) since we are neither at a very great height nor eye level, the subject must be at least partially defined and distinguishable from the horizon region

I used a picture taken during one of my trips as the reference for this.
