Light Play - Part 4

It is interesting to see that the same light can produce both cool and warm shadows as can be seen in this work.
Part - 2 of light play series deals with both cool and warm shadows being produced at the same time but not on the same surface. Here, both warm and cool shadows can be seen on the same wall.

The groves in the wall form a warm shadow whereas the windows and plant have cool shadow.
It is very subtle, but the top of windows also produces a slight warm shadow.
This is due to the angle at which the light is incident on the surface.
Apart from the light and shadows, one more interesting thing about this composition is the texturing of bricks at the bottom.
I used watercolor tubes , watercolor pencils and sakura micron pen. The paper used is 150gsm cartridge sheet. This kind of paper is not easy to work with as it doesn't absorb water like regular watercolor paper (300gsm). You can go upto 2 layers maximum.
